Selection Process : Candidates will be selected through a written exam.
College Director Qualification:- (i) Master’s degree in Physical Education (two years course) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC’s 7 point scale plus a consistently good academic record; (ii) Record of having represented the University/College at least at the inter-University/inter-Collegiate competitions or the State in National championships; (iii) Should have successfully undergone physical fitness test as per norms. Note: A candidate, before appearing for the test, shall produce a medical certificate certifying that he/she is medically fit. (iv) Qualifying in the NET conducted for the purpose by the UGC or SET accredited by the UGC. Director of Physical Education holding Ph.D. is exempted from NET. Candidates holding Ph.D. degree who are already in the University system and have obtained Master’s degree prior to 1991 will be given relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks for appointment to the post of College Director of Physical Education, Government Colleges. (v) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Ph.D or M.Phil. in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
Application Fee : The application fee prescribed for any post is Rs. 200/-. The application form should be accompanied by an Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft for the amount equivalent to the application fee payable to “Goa Public Service Commission,” In the case of SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman candidate, only 50% of the application fee is payable.
