No. of Vacancy : Total 64 vacancies (SC-14, ST-4, OBC(A)-6, OBC(B)-5, Meritorious Sports Persons-2, PWD-other vacancy) .

Age Limit : Not above 37 yrs.

Pay Band : Rs.7100/-Rs.37600/- + Grade Pay Rs.3600/-(Pay Band -3).

Required Education : Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and a two year Diploma Course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal and registered as ‘A’ category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.

2) Job Title : Social Worker

No. of Vacancy : Total 20 vacancies  (SC-5,ST-1,OBC(A)-2,OBC(B)-2,PWD-1) Posts.

Age Limit : Maximum 37 yrs.

Pay Band: Rs.7100-Rs.37600/- + Grade Pay Rs.3600/-(Pay Band-3).

Required Qualifications : Only candidates can apply for this post who should passed B.A. or B.Sc. and Diploma in Social Welfare and Health Education from a Government recognized Institute. Degree in Social Welfare and Health Education.

Procedure of Selection  : Written-test.

Application Charges : Candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs.160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only by Indian Postal Order and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”. The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. Candidates belonging to S.C./ S.T. of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Persons With Disabilities Rules, 1999 are not required to pay any fee. The application of such candidates will not be accepted if the same is not accompanied with the attested copy of S.C./ S.T./ Persons with Disabilities certificate.

Apply Section : Candidate apply in the prescribed application form along with the copies of the relevant documents either Self Certified or attested by competent authority sent to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S. P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700026 superscribing positively on the envelope “ (i) Advertisement No. ,(ii) Item No. & (iii) Name of the post applied for” so as to reach the Commission’s Office on or before 25th January, 2012..
